Hi, Connie. This is a little tricky. You can either delete messages permanently, or you can archive whole threads. I don't know how long they are archived. The actual process for doing either is the same. Go to a thread or a specific message. Double-tap and hold on the second tap, which will cause VO to ignore your next gesture. Wait for the rising set of tones (about a second or two after you hold), then swipe with one finger, either left or down. This doesn't always take, so you may have to try more than once. In both cases, a menu will pop up. I believe it's on the bottom of the screen, but i just use the VO one-finger swiping gesture to the left and right. For a thread, there's an "archive" button. Double-tap this. For a specific message within a thread, there's a delete button. Note that deleting is permanent.
