Straightalk is another option if you wanted to stay on AT&T's network and the end of the contract already has come. The one thing I've heard online is that they might throttle the data after some amount, and I'm not sure how many minutes of calling they really allow for your $45 a month before that might get suspended for the rest of the month.

the AT&T offering is not a big value when it is compared to the $30 a
month one can spend at T-Mobile or ting for the same service. See my
article on AppleVis for iPhone solutions on the cheap. It certainly is
cheaper, but it doesn't reach the deep discount levels.

Hi, at first I wasn't sure what the new plans would mean for new lines
or hardware. However I have now confirmed that the $15 per line per
month is only valid on existing lines. If you add a new line and you get
the phone through AT&T, then the cost for that line on the data share is
$40 per month. However if you bring your own device, like if you
purchase the phone from another place, not AT&T, then you can get it
added for $15 per month. It's like the goal here is to make money off
the phones, rather than the minustes like before. No matter how great
pricing plans are, there are always gotchas. I was able to successfully
change over my 5-line phone plan to this new pricing and save about $100
per month. However I might as well put that $100 in the bank to save up
for the next time I want to upgrade a new phone because it will cost me
less to buy it separately through Amazon or some 3rd-party place. I
won't do the next program since that is even more of a cost.

Does one lose anything by switching from the original Mobile Share to

feature. I keep talking about getting an iPhone 5S; but, well, what
with all my other family members still having the 4S, I just haven't yet
been able to justify the purchase for myself.

Also, although I could be wrong; but, when reading their information,
AT&T seemed to be saying that folks would need to either pay full price
for their phone, or go on one of the Next plans, or bring their own
device to retain the discounted pricing. Thus, this would almost seem
to imply that, should someone want to go back to having a phone
subsidized, they would be able to do so but at the higher price.

I saved over $100 on mine per month. So yeah, it's worth checking into
if you are on AT&T. Their latest pricing plans AI think are made to
compete against T-Mobile.

I apologize for what seems like an advertisement but I'm just hoping to
save someone on the list a few bucks. With all the ads I've been seeing
from AT&T about their Mobile Share Value plans, I thought I'd call to
see if they might save me some money versus my current AT&T wireless
plan.

I ended up saving at least $25 a month and went from 450 minutes of talk
time to unlimited minutes. I'll still be getting the same amount of data
and the unlimited texting I already receive. This had no effect on my
existing contract which has about another 11 months on it.

For those with existing AT&T plans, you might want to give them a call
to make sure you're getting the best price.
