Being that some are saying power button, while others are saying unlock button, I decided to do an experiment with my iPhone 5, running 7.1. . I set an alarm, and when it went off, I hit the unlock button, which silenced it. I then went into clock, and discovered that it was off. Doing the same experiment with the power button yielded the information that the alarm was still on. I wanted to know whether it is still on, for the next day, or in snooze. It only was in snooze, being that it sounded after the snooze period was over. I was hoping it was off until the next day. Conclusion: The unlock button turns it off.
