I can't testify as to how this works on syncing between the audio and
Kindle versions, but I know this does work even if you only have the
Kindle app on your phone, as that's my situation currently. I try to
listen to audio versions of books when they're available, so mainly I
use Whisper Sync to get audio versions at lower costs than I would if
I just bought the audio book itself. I don't mind paying extra for
the Kindle version, as I can have both versions for a lower price if
I get them together, and in fact I've come across several Kindle
books that were free, and then later found out about Whisper Sync,
and so only had to pay a couple of dollars each for the audio versions.

It went on to say that the professional narration could be added for
$4.49 after purchasing the Kindle version. This would give me both a
Kindle and Audible version of the book for $10.48 which seems a very good deal.
I was wondering if anyone had tried this service and if it works
with an iPhone running the Kindle app or if you have to have the
Kindle hardware to use it. I'm also curious at how well the sync
feature works between the Audible and Kindle versions.
