iphone 4. version 7.1.1 Turning off "speak notifications" does not work.
With "Speak notifications" off and voiceover on, whenever I get a text Voiceover says "notification" and then reads out the sender and the message. This is awful - imagine the text "call me when that awful man leaves your office". How do I have voiceover but stop it reading out texts until I deliberately go into messages?
