So, I pull out my trusty iPHone with the name of the mystery app on it, launch the mystery app, let it listen to the currently playing song via the phone's microphone, and it returns, hopefully, the correct information. The app requires a wi-fi connection and will play up to 30 seconds of the song from the entire online iTunes songbook and give you a four option multiple choice from which to choose. The app is fun and accessible. It looks to be selling for $1.99 for the current version.
