Conni,

When did you get your 4S? I assume you mean it was 99 Cents with a 2-year
contract? If it was recently Verizon gave you a pretty bad deal since the 4S
was discontinued last September and the iPhone 5 became the new "free phone"
on contract.

Anyhow, if you have and are able to use an iPod Touch you really should have
little difficulty with an iPhone as it is very much the same as an iPod
Touch with the phone aspect included of course. If you also have a landline
I would recommend that you call yourself a few times and explore the screen
to get a sense of what buttons you have and where they are. One little tip
is to press the volume up or down button once quickly when the phone starts
to ring. This will silence the phone's ringer and it is easier to touch
around the screen and hear what Voiceover is saying.
Try it both when the screen is locked and you get a call and also when you
have the phone unlocked and you get a call since you'll find slightly
different options.
If you don't have a landline just ask a friend or family member to call you
next time you are with another person.

Regards,
Sieghard
