The automatic language switching is by design and is part of VoiceOver.
If you use the default language of your choosing and there is text
written in a different language VoiceOver will automatically switch to
that language. You cannot turn this on or off I'm afraid.

Hi,
I am using the native facebook app on my iPhone 5c. It seems that sometimes it
reads some of my friend’s status updates in what seems like a different voice
or a different language.
I don’t have any other language set for it to do this.
Also, when you select most recent, it gives you so many statuses in order and
then jumps to stuff you saw a few hours ago or yesterday. Is there a work
around for this so you can see everything right away when you go to most recent.
Finally, I discovered last night you can’t log out of the app. I am thinking
this is a facebook glitch but not sure.
