OK suppose I buy the separte pack as you say which sounds most likely
course of action, do these external pack take either the old 3GS cable
and/or the new lightening one? thus I guess my question would be can
these external packs interchange cables? And also in the past, I've seen
mentions on here on 18 and 24 oms, I take these are in essence how long
the phone lasts on the battery pack? Thanks for info.

If you will upgrade to a 5 or higher, get a separate pack. Not only are case
packs form fitting, the 3GS through 4S use the 30 pin connector whilst the 5
and up use the lightning connector. That said, remember that an external pack
means you need to carry the pack, and a cable to connect the pack with the
iPhone. Note: this is what I do. I also use my pack to charge other portable
devices.

HI listers
Sometimes while on the road, I guess in part because I have Twitter
Notifications, especially for news active, my battery lowers to 20 or 10% in an
average of three hours, or three and a half, thus what battery pack would you
guys recommend? Is it better those that are like a battery which you plug to
the phone, or those that go directly on the phone's back part like a case? I've
got now a 3GS, thus I'd like the battery pack to be useful for future phones,
thus what recommendations?
