Hi Victor
At your end why not go into Settings, Messages then turn send as sms on. This will send as a text message if ever iMessage is unavailable.

Hi Folks,

a sighted friend of mine has hit me with quite the pickle.

She has an iPhone, but she does not have a data plan, and so when she leaves
any wi-fi hot spot, she doesn’t receive the text messages I send her because
they’re coming through as iMessages.

She said I have to re-send any messages to her as standard text messages, or
they won’t come through until she comes into a wi-fi hot spot she can join.

Anyway, she says that tapping and holding a particular section on the messages
app will switch it to plain text, but as I said, she is sighted, and so does
not know where, or rather she does know where, she can’t can’t explain it
without using icons to outline her steps. In any case, her steps are for
sighted people who do not use Voiceover, so if anyone knows how to accomplish
the above, I would greatly appreciate knowing how to do this.

Thanks you all for your help.
