Um, there is no way they can know what is wrong with your iPhone. If you tell 
them symptoms, they will give you advice which will help the most common 
problems that said symptoms represent. If their suggestions do not work, call 
back and report what happened. Then, they can suggest something else to attempt.

If you want your iDevice to be completely accurately diagnosed, your only 
option is to take it to a qualified technician who can fully test the device. 
The Apple Store is the place to go for such assessing.

By the way, the advice Apple Support gave you is the same initial advice I 
would give you based on what you said is wrong.
