Hi. I have a very strange email issue, or rather my wife does. She has a Gmail account
and a Hotmail account, both loading to her iPhone. They are both IMAP accounts, and she has them set up as such on the iPhone. These accounts are not linked to each other in any other way. Which is to say, for Gmail does not pull her Hotmail, or Hotmail does not pull her Gmail. When she reads an email on her iPhone, and then goes to the web interface, the message shows as read. However when she deletes an email on her iPhone, and goes to her web interface, the message is still in her inbox. She is in the inbox folder on the web interface, not be all mail folder. Also, she does have her iPhone set to delete messages, not just merely move into the archive folder. If it were just one of the accounts, I would say she has it set up wrong on the web interface. But since it's both, I think it has to be with the iPhone. She gets very frustrated, spending time clearing her inbox on her phone, only to have to redo it on her laptop the next time she goes to the web interface.
