Truthfully, the only real reason I lock my iPad Mini in portrait is because it feels more like my phone. It is easier for my small hands to move around the screen. I use landscape only when absolutely necessary such as using mBraille on my phone, though I use portrait for it on my iPad Mini. (smiles)
