Hi all, I normally keep my speech rate at 100%, but I have just discovered that it is in fact stuck there. Adjusting it from the rotor, or from the VO preferences page, has no effect. Actually, that's not entirely true; VO occasionally announces something using the lower rate, but otherwise sticks to 100%. For example, if I am moving through a bulleted list on a web page, VO announces the "bullet" symbol in whatever speech rate I have set, but then reverts to 100% to read the rest of the text.
I am using iOS 7.1.2 with an iPhone 5S and the default U.S. English voice. I'm not sure that this is a big enough deal to warrant extensive troubleshooting (e.g. restoring the phone or resetting all settings), but I wanted to inquire whether anyone has ever had a similar problem or has any tips.
