Many single Bluetooth speakers these days feature the ability to pair with a second for stereo sound. I just got a Soundfreaq Platform 2 BT speaker, which is stereo, but can be combined with a second Platform for bigger sound.
I am wondering if I could find an app that would say power the Soundfreaq and a different brand model. Any recommendations? BTW, this Soundfreaq Platform 2 is pretty nice. It is about 13" X 7" X 5". It has a mini equalizer for choices of high, normal and low treble sounds and digital separation. It does have a lot of base, and might be just a bit muffled base for those true audiophiles, but is certainly tolerable to my normal ear. It can be incredibly loud without distortion. It has two USB ports for charging cords and 3.5mm auxiliary input. The basic model does not include a rechargeable battery, but I understand you can get one from Soundfreaq for $50. I am not sure the practicality of this as a portable device, especially for beach, camping, etc., as it does not have a handle and does have cloth speaker covering across the front. I paid $120 for this at Target; it was $145 (suggested retail) on Amazon. I have gone through many devices and not been happy with them for one reason or another, but this one seems to fit my needs quite nicely. Thanks for any pointers on the Bluetooth question. My goal is to combine this Soundfreaq with a bookshelf system in a large space so that I have sound at either end of a large, long room. Thanks!
