I agree with Alex on that one. I heard about the guy who apparently pointed
out on a picture of the board that there is a spot which is the size of some
NFC chip, but Apple's apparent aversion to NFC makes me wonder. What does
make sense to me is the argument that Apple might launch their own payment
solution which might use iBeacons. Apple has the largest number of customers
with credit cards on file from any company in the world and this would be a
logical step for them and probably a cash cow.

Sieghard

Only one: it's still a rumor. Reports are saying what you said, then saying
that the infrastructure isn't there so we probably won't see this service
this year at all. As I said in a different thread, we cannot know anything
for sure until Apple officially reveals it, so until then, all we have are
rumors and dreams. Some will be right, some will be wrong, but there's no
point in speculating until the big reveal next week.

The new iPhone six will most certainly have NFC!
Today Apple also tied up with American Express, Visa and Mastercard!
This along with touch ID for confirming payments will ensure an excellent
and fast way of spending your money! Easily and effortlessly :-) Any
comments?
