They've changed that a little. To get out of your library and into the bookstore, use one of the bottom tabs like features, search or top charts. When you want to obtain a book, go right into its entry and use the button with the price or free that you find in the description rather than on the store front. I found that to be true in the appstore also. You have to use the link with the title of the app first to get into the description page and then look for the button labelled with the item's price which lets you purchase. Hope that helps you.
