Glass wouldn't bend like that, without snapping that is. They had a similar issue with some early and very slim Nanos, but that was in pants pocket and user not giving consideration to sitting on it or whatever.
The most one might expect, is slight warping due to heat difference and the two materials having different expansion rates, but hardly noticeable at that scale. So if it happened at all, I'd more likely believe other unnoted accident.
