The official Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps work just fine. FaceTime allows you to make and receive calls from and to other Apple devices over wifi or cellular data if supported. This is unlike wifi calling introduced in iOS 8. Both video and audio calls can be made and received. FaceTime is totally free like iMessages however you may incur data charges if calling over the data network.
