Jon I am using the play button on the remote in the usual way and speaking into the remote in the normal way but no luck. Funnily enough whether I use the remote or the home button to invoke Siri, speaking near the phone makes it recognise me which is what makes me think it's using the phone internal mic regardless of whether I have the earbuds plugged in. I should say of course that the audio is continually coming through the earbuds as usual. Thanks
