I thought I heard that there was only a handful of Pixar movies on Itunes that
have it. I hope that changes. Season passes of TV shows might be worth it if
they went up their described.

Since Apple has not truly explained this feature, I am going to take a guess.

I think this will be for movies or TV shows you buy through iTunes that have
the Audio Description track on them.

If you want to get an idea which movies have audio description, take a look
at:

  http://www.acb.org/adp/dvds.html

  they also list TV shows.

This doesn’t guarantee that the iTunes copy will have it, but it is a
starting place.

For those who don’t know what Audio Description means, it is a service for
visually impaired that provides a description of the non-verbal stuff going on
in a movie, the scene, actions, etc. You have to be able to turn the feature
on in a DVD menu in most cases to access it.

Some TV shows have it and you would select the SAP channel on the TV menu or
remote control.

Many movie theaters now offer headsets for the descriptive audio track.
Check with your local movie theater to see if they have this service available.

If means that a blind person no longer has to ask someone what is going on
during silent stretches in movies or when there is a lot of action going on.

  HTH,

  Richard

Does Netflix indicate anywhere which movies have the Audio Description
feature?

If you get a movie from netflicks it will let you listen to the description.
