Hi all. I'm totally frustrated right now and feel like the
most computer stupid human on earth. For some reason I cannot get to the
buttons that sound so simple in the below message. I'd like to go no-mail
for the next two weeks so I don't come back to 10,000 or so emails. I'm
able to sign onto google groups, locate the viphone group. Then when I hit
B for button I see search, new topic, a button that's not labeled, mark all
as read button, filters button menu, button menu twice more, save my changes
button, keep my original settings button, and a toggle button. I've tried
using both the JAWS cursor and the virtual PC cursor. I'm running JAWS 15
and internet explorer on a windows 7 machine. Nowhere do I see a my settings
button. Can someone please tell me how to do this. I've had a bad computer
day at work, and now I'm having one at home. Not fair when I'm trying to
get organized to go get a new dog guide. You can write me off list at
paujor4...@gmail.com if you want. Computer life just shouldn't be this
hard.

God bless!Thanks in advance.

Paula and the soon to be retired Babe

Hi Debbie,

Setting Viphone to No Mail is not so difficult and it saves you from having
to unsubscribe and resubscribe since if you resubscribe you will first be on
moderation again until Raul or Cara can get you fully approved again. Go to
the following link:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/viphone

Find the sign-in link and sign in with your Gmail credentials.

Use your browser's quick navigation keys, in Jaws it's "b" for button you
mostly want. Find the "My Settings" button and activate it.

Now find the "Membership and email settings" button and activate it.

When I just did this, I then have a button, Jaws actually calls these
"button menu" which says this:

Send me an email for every new message (about 64 per day)

This is because I have it said to send me individual emails, if you have
yours set to Digest mode it would give you that option.

Activate this button and from the list select "Don't send email updates".

Then don't forget to find the Save buton at the bottom of the screen and
activate it.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: Vacation mode for this list.

I am writing to the list, because there is not a moderator E-mail that I can
find. I will be out of the country for a week, and do not want to have to
get all the mail, I was wondering if we can go on vacation mode on this list

Thank you for any help in advance.
