Those self-adhesive screen protectors do a good job, and I also had a
Griffin Survivor that had the issue where the screen cover didn't lay in
contact with the screen, giving unreliable results. So, me being Me, put
on a self-adhesive screen cover, and took a stanley knife to the case and
cut out the screen cover on it and relied on the s/a one. Now that worked
well, all be it nominally less protection than before. I'd do it to an
Otterbox if needs must.

RobH.

Ps: agree, not something to do to an expensive case lightly.

Hi,
Sadly I can confirm that which you've reported. My defender for the 6 plus
was received today and will begin its return trip tomorrow. the screen
protector has a springy feel to it I.E. it is not flush with the front face
of the phone thus making interacting with the phone quite a chore. While I
have seen this on occasion before with these built in screen protectors and
have sometimes been able to fix it with some maneuvering or worst case
scenario a swap out of the case for an exchanged one in this instance due to
such limited availability and vast reporting of this issue by users from all
across the board I think at least for the 6 Plus era of phone use Otterbox
and I will sadly be parting ways.
This leads me to another case related question. For those who have chosen
through the years to use open face cases have you used an adhesive type
screen protector which affixes to the phone's screen? If so which ones and
why? If not why not.
thanks as always for enlightenment.
Robin (who's phone is currently happily residing in the genuine leather
Apple case.)

Before you guys get real excited about the Otterbox Defender for the iPhone
6, please read some of the reviews at Amazon. A lot of opinions are not so
complimentary. Among some of the criticisms is that the volume control is
difficult to use, and the gap between the iPhone 6 and the built in screen
is such that activating apps is quite awkward. But please, don't take my
word for it.

hi,
When I got my 6+ on the 26th of this month, The verizon store said otter
box had not created a case for the 6+ yet. I'm eagerly awaiting the release
of it because if for no other reason it helped from getting stuff in the
phone ports. Pluss the protection is good for when I want to trade it in.
If anyone knows of an otterbox like case for the 6+ I'd appreciate it.
currently my phone just has a sheet of tempered glass over the touch screen.

I'm not sure if it was sticky on the back or how it was applied. I'm sure
i'll have to remove it to put it in a more protective case.

Thanks,
Billy Maynard
