I got the new iPad Air a few days ago. I did a restore from the backup of my old one and all was well except that i couldn’t get Westminster Chimes to work. Everything was set right in notifications. Then it occurred to me that my iPad might be muted; since the vo sounds are separate, it might not be immediately apparent. Shortly after that, I suddenly realized that there is no longer a slide switch on the iPad Air: the one that you could choose to use for rotation lock or mute. It appears that both of these functions are now controlled solely from the control center, unless I am missing some other way to do it. Of course as soon as I unmuted the iPad Air (maybe it had been muted on the old one when I did the final backup), Westminster Chimes worked fine. So if you have any apps that aren’t working that use sound, most especially if you are using a new iPad Air, be sure to check whether mute is on or off. -- Cheryl
I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper thrown in the trash! Then God gave me a new heart and life: His joy for my despairing tears! And now, every day: "This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
