Using a 5S and a HIMS product, I didn't find myself getting stuck in any edit fields using 8.1. I suppose the problem could be Apex-Specific. If you want to indicate where you were getting stuck, I could try to replicate the problem. I tried in mail message creation (all message fields) and in text message creation and didn't get stuck anywhere.
