Well, maybe that is the case. Let's hope then LookTel will release a version 
soon which fixes the problems most people seem to have and also that it will 
not go broke again when iOS 8.1.1 comes out which I doubt will be that far away.

Fortunately I don't use/need money reader that much because Canadian currency 
has braille markings, but it does come in handy sometimes when I get US 
currency at my store or have older bills without the markings.

I suspect that the reason you cannot get the old version of MoneyReader to work 
may have something to do with the fact that you are running a beta version of 
iOS.  Of course, that's just a guess.

Earlier today, after determining that there was a problem with the MoneyReader 
app, I deleted it from my phone.  Then, upon attaching the phone to iTunes, via 
my Windows 7 PC, I simply installed the previous version back on the phone and 
all works well.  

As a backup solution, I also installed the Eye Note app which works, if not 
quite as fast as the LookTel MoneyReader, works just as well.

So I just deleted Money Reader from my iPhone 5S and put the previous version 
back which I still had in iTunes and surprise, it also now won’t work. I wonder 
what this new app did and I hope LookTel will take this seriously and fix it 
soon. Anybody else put back the old version with that result or is the old 
version working? I know for sure I still have the old version because when I go 
to my Apps section in iTunes the LookTel Money Reader is sitting there. In any 
case, for those who want to check, the version I had in iTunes and which worked 
for me before is 2.4.
