Hi Krister,

The Sonos Sub in the States is $700, it is $750 Canadian.
I have had a Play 5 for some years and it's a super nice sounding stand-alone
player, but two Play 1 in stereo I think sound better and are the same price.
Of course if money wasn't that much of a concern then two Play 5 in stereo
configuration with a Sub would probably sound absolutely amazing, but that
would be a $1,500 setup and $1,650 here in Canada. Still I think it would be
every bit as good and probably better in the base response as let's say a $700
receiver/amplifier and a pair of $800 conventional speakers which would also
add up to $1,500 and then of course you have only playback equipment and no
source yet. I guess you could probably connect a laptop or existing computer
and if your computer and receiver had HDMI you could use a digital connection
which might actually sound OK. Of course the experience still is not the same
as what you get with Sonos which gives you outstanding accessibility via the
iOS app (not sure how good the accessibility is for the Android app since I am
not an Android user and this is not an Android list).

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi there, You just gave me a brilliant idea although it would be expensive. How
much is the sub? What difference if any do you find between the Play 1 and play
3s?
