Thanks, no, I did not try that, but did restart the device though. May be it
is just my 4S, would like to know if others with 4s phones have the same

I have no problem sharing a contact on ios 8.1.1 on a iphone5. Have you
tried doing a hard reset by holding the sleep and home buttons in the same time
for about 7 seconds? Id try that then attempt to share.
