Hello, Both the two-finger flick up and two-finger flick down commands for continuous reading work for me in iBooks. It is necessary to first touch the content portion of the display before issuing either command. Otherwise, VO reads the entire current screen rather than the book text.
If these steps are being followed, first perform a reboot. If that doesn't fix the problem, use iTunes to repair/update iOS.
