Does the processor of the 6 make a noticeable difference in speed to those who
have moved up from a 5C or a 5S? I guess there must be a noticeable difference
for those who have moved straight from a 4S. Anyway, I'd be interested in
comments.

All high quality or "enhanced" quality voices are available on phones with 32
bit processors, like the 5C 5, and 4S.
Alex can only be downloaded on devices with 64 bit processors, like iPhone
5S, 6, 6 plus, iPad air 2, etc.
The determining factor is the processor.
