Hi Martin, Glad it was such a simple solution. Any time there are strange inconsistancies the first thing one should try is always to force quit all apps in the app switcher, turn the phone off, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. A friend in Germany told me last week that he flew to another city in Germany for a business meeting. He put his 5S in Airplane Mode and turned that feature back off when he arrived. However, the phone showed no signal or connection to his provider. He went into his meeting and after he arrived back home it still showed that he was not connected. At this point he remembered that just as with a computer, a reboot often fixes things so he turned his phone off and as soon as it powered back up and he unlocked the phone everything was back to normal. Two totally different scenarios, but a simple reboot of the phone fixed the problem in both situations and it's just a simple and good thing to remember.
