I spent the $3.95 and bought the RecorderHQ with out the adds. The problem with it is, it won’t disengage the volume settings. I’m using the iPhone microphone and manually setting the volume to one hundred percent. To get the app to return control of the volume I have to go into settings, sounds, and turn the volume settings back to one hundred percent. Oddly enough though, all I need do is to flick down with one finger and that releaces control of the volume back to me and all is back to normal. I’ll try turning change with buttons back on again and we’ll see what happens. Other then that, I changed the audio format to MP3 and this app does a great job.

It's a great app and the developer has worked on it very extensively so that it work with voiceover.
