AT&T has really dropped the ball on this iPhone release. I ordered my phone
the day of launch, since they didn’t have any in a store. When it was time for
my phone to ship, they sent me an email saying my order had been canceled for 1
of the following reasons. Incorrect billing address, debit card funds not
available, and the most BS 1 was item no longer available. So I calmly called
customer care, they told me to go in to the store and they could fix this issue
and get my phone on schedule. The store proceeded to tell me it wasn’t there
fault. Needless to say I lost my temper, told them to fix it or I was going
across the street to the other T. Long story short, customer care fix the
issue, I got my phone that Friday, stayed with AT&T, and all is well.
Apparently the computer couldn’t handle the amount of orders for that time
line, so it generated that email so it wouldn’t have to explain why some
couldn’t get there phone.
