Hi ori,

You may want to read through my first message again as I explain this there.

Turning off updates will take care of downloading updates automatically, if it
is turned off that won’t happen.

Turning off Apps just means that if you buy an app on another device it won’t
automatically download to your iPhone. This includes buying apps via iTunes on
the computer or maybe you have an iPad or iPod Touch. If, for example, you have
Apps turned on and you buy let’s say Camfind on your iPad, it would also
automatically download to your iPhone. The same applies to music and books.

If you don’t have more than one iOS device and if you don’t buy stuff via
iTunes it really doesn’t matter. If you want full control whether anything is
downloaded to your iPhone then just turn everything under automatic downloads
off.

Regards,

Sieghard

Subject: automatic downloads

Hi Sieghard and all,

When I go into settings and go to iTunes and app store and under the automatic
download heading I do have updates turned off so that I will get notified when
there is an update to manually download the apps I want.

But I also was wanting to know under the same heading do I also turn off apps
or do I leave it turned on? Wouldn't apps be the same thing as updates because
updates is allowing me to update my apps I already have to a newest version of
what ever app is being updated.
