Hi Neal, for what it’s worth, I’ve tried just about every color detection app I could get my hands on and have yet to find anything that even comes close to being acceptable. That was on my iPhone 4s and 5s. I haven’t done this on my 6 plus yet but honestly I probably won’t bother unless there is some sort of major breakthrough. I found them all to be very lacking in terms of accuracy. Hopefully things will change with better optics. It would certainly be wonderful to have an accurate color detector on our phones.
