The statement he made about LD_LIBRARY_PATH containing "another libGL"
might be a clue, because I see in your strace logs that Abaqus appears
to have its own version of libGL.so.1 that it might try to be loading.

Although I would definitely like to fix the GLXBadContext error, it
appears that that's not the real cause of the problem, as the other user
encountered that error as well but was still able to successfully run
Abaqus 6.9.
