See also bug 277559. The vmm module works reliably on some systems, hangs some
of the time on my RockPro64, and always hangs on Ampere eMAG.
I have physical access to an Ampere eMAG server. If there is a JTAG or similar
debug tool I can plug in I will give it a try.
