All, I wish to give users the option to request a Kevin Beacon game<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon>type query, but for connections between any two resources. I don't understand all the optimization that where necessary to enable the Faceted Query Service, but I do recall Kingsley saying that the key is that we know the property IRI a-priori. Would it be possible if to exclude the property for a limited number of properties in the path and still be able to not crash the service? For example, can people search for "All connections between this and that, up to 4 degrees of seperation"? I believe this is a key to serendipitous discovery.
If no enhancement to the engine is possible to acheive this without ruining the execution time, then how do you suggest I try implementing this with what the API already offers? -- Thanks, -sherman I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2)
