Also, what Virtuoso open source build are you using I presume the 6.12 build on
source forge which is from July 2010 ? There is a later 6.1.3 RC snaphot you
would benefit from using, if you don't already have it, at:

You can check the number of Buffers in use and how many are allocated by the
server with the Virtuoso "status)('')" command :
