from reading resent messages I could not find out which setup you are having problems with. All I could make out was that you must be running Debian unstable. Which ISDN device are you trying to get running? > so i am asking if someone there that has asterisk+visdn running smoothly > could share with me which is the platform: It's rather smooth except for the known issues (echo, delay) with 3 HFC-PCI cards (1xTE 2xNT). visdn patch 581 kernel 2.6.15.2 > 1. hardware used (the mobo) Some Asus A7V8N (?) deluxe, most probably phased out. > 2. kernel version See above. > 3. kernel config used Nothing fancy. I wouldn't suspect the problem there in the first place. If asterisk segv's -- guess what's first on my list. I could send or make otherwise available packages for Debian stable (sarge) from my kernel and asterisk-1.2.4 (with visdn patches). There's not much effort put in the asterisk package, it's just a trimmed down and patched version from unstable. Didn't try to package the visdn stuff, at least yet. I could send a .tar File, though.
