This patch is not in the "kernel side" of visdn, is much more related
to the asterisk side... (and is working and heavy tested with a couple
of 4bri boards).

One things, important, consider to NOT launch asterisk directly
automatically at the boot, i found sometime the server hangs, this is
not visdn problem, is a generic problem of asterisk (example: the
mpg123 program is "running" while asterisk died (by configuration error)).

It is preferable, the first time, to lauch asterisk in a console by
hand (asterisk -vvvvgc), (for the mpg123 problem i "rename" the mpg
executable...).

Also consider a "hardware" problem, i found some MB that is doing some
strange thing with the resources, it is impossibile to run a driver
(not only the visdn, also misdn and zaphfc).

Hello Massimo,

Well, after some tests and re-configurations (i've recreated the conf in /etc/visdn, running 2 ports in TE and 2 NT instead of all TE) now.. it just works. Maybe i was mis-typing something. All seems to go well (asterisk recognizes the vISDN channels) and i receive and make calls through my telco NT-1 But i'm having some really *weird* problems with voice, it sounds messy, sometimes with echo (even if i've activated the echo cancelation) but always noisy in some way.

i've got these problems in the past too (with asterisk-bristuffed and qozap, and the same 4bri card) making all almost unusable. I hoped that changing to vISDN could solve my problem.. :(

Thank you :)

Bye,
