Hi, I just gave VisualSVN a spin and had the same "VisualSVN initialization failed" error. I recall that I once briefly tried a previous version on a system at work (I believe it was 1.6), and it worked, but 1.7 on my home machine isn't working.
This computer is running (like the other one was) XP SP1 with VS 2003 and .NET 1.1 + SP1, and .NET 2.0. I'm happy with AnkhSVN, but VisualSVN looks interesting, so I hope I can help fix this bug.
