I am experiencing the same  (Path 'http://myhost:8080/svn/project' is
not canonicalized; there is a problem with the client. REPORT of 'svn/
Project/!svn/vcc/default': 400 Bad Request problem using lattest
VisualSVN version 1.7.1 (http://myhost:8080)

In my case client is SmartSVN version 5.0.5
