Ok, So I've just installed VisualSVN 1.7.2 onto my public facing web
server which is a Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2 box with 2Gb RAM and a
2.4GHz Xeon. It's a VPS server.

I host public websites on this machine using IIS6 and also have a
mailserver. Sounds like a lot going on but the resources hover around
50% mostly so I'm happy.

Anyway I installed SVN, made a user, made a repository, and installed
the service. From the console I confirmed that everything was working
by navigating to https://<machinename>:8443/svn/<repositoryname>/
(without the <> chars) and was presented with a page with the SVN
logo, the repository name "Revision 0: /", and the subversion link at
the bottom. Sounds like a win, yeah?

But the client side of things has me stumped. I just cant access it.
I'm trying the url https://<ip_address>:8443/svn/<repositoryname>/
(without the <> chars) and after some thinking I'm taken to the Plesk
control panel login for my VPS which is provided by my webhost. I have
added port 8443 to my firewall exceptions on the server and client and
have even lowered my client firewall, but no joy. Has anyone come
across this?
