Yes, Subversion installed, but on port 3690. Both Subversion and VisualSVN created unique repositories folders during install. I don't believe there are any restrictions for number of repositories. The Subversion and Apache services are running fine.
I installed Subversion separately after the initial installation failure of VisualVSN. I then installed VisualVSN after Olga gave me the command line string to ignore the service error. It completed the install, but the log file she wanted did not get produced. I have tried to get VisualVSN to work on ports 8443, 443, and 8080-- same initial error: "unable to listen for connections." I also tried port 80, which, as expected, reported 80 already in use. I also stopped the Subversion services and tried using it's port 3690--same problem: "unable to listen for connections." I installed TortoiseSVN yesterday, which seems to work fine; though I am having trouble getting the "Lock" feature to set my local file as read only using the "svn:needs-lock" property setting. I might uninstall and retry the install of VisualSVN (again) after I've figured out why my local files are not getting set to read only, but if you have any further insight into the VisualVSN service not starting, I will stop what I am doing and pursue the new course of action.
