While trying to get remote administration working, I ran into an issue with my
VisualSVN installation. I'm running VisualSVN version 2.0.6 running on Windows
Server 2003 R2, Standard x64 edition and I cannot get the service to run under
the "Network Service" account, only the "Local System account." The error I
get when I try to use the Network service account is "Windows could not start
the VisualSVN server on Local Computer. For more information, review the System
Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and
refer to service-specific code 1." However, when I look at the system event
log, I do not find anything that relates to VisualSVN in either the System
events or VisualSVN events.
I have searched the KB at VisualSVN, this group and Google but have failed to
come up with a solution to my issue. Any suggestions?
