I just upgraded (Windows 2008, free version using basic Windows auth) and none of my users can connect any more. Error (from TortoiseSVN 1.7.1 client) is "Not authorized to open root of edit operation". Users trying to add a file get "Server sent unexpected return value (500 Internal Server Error) in response to MKCOL request for (path)".
I changed the service to run as a domain admin (for now) and made sure our IT Windows group as read/write in all the repositories and Full Control over the Windows folder c:\Repositories. When doing the upgrade I originally changed nothing, but got these errors. I am now fiddling/Googling to no avail but our whole team is stuck.
