We are using VisualSVN Server 2.5.4 and we use subversion authentication. We are experiencing a commit failure that we do not understand. The failure scenario is this:
Repository name: EshopProjects User name: Beaty User "Beaty" has global read only privileges to all repositories on the server. However, user Beaty has also been granted read/write privileges to the repository "EshopProjects". Privileges for all folders and files in "EshopProjects" are inherited. On my computer, if I supply the "Beaty" credentials to TortoiseSVN, I can both checkout and commit items in the aforementioned repository. However, on the three other client computers I have tried, commit fails (using the same credentials) with the messages: Error Commit failed (details follow): Error Access to '/svn/eshopprojects/!svn/me' forbidden Checkout is not a problem on these computers, only the commits fail. I have established that I can eliminate the error by granting user "Beaty" global read/write privileges to ALL repositories on the server, but this should not be necessary. The only distinguishing factor that I can see is that my computer (the one from which commits actually work) is the computer I initially used to create the "EshopProjects" repository and then import the folders and files. Any idea what is happening here? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "VisualSVN" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
