Hi,

as I wrote earlier, I use the latest versions of the client
software as of April 2014:

TortoiseSVN 1.8.5, Build 25224 - 64 Bit , 2014/02/18 20:05:11
SmartSVN 8.0.1 (build #1026) 15. Januar 2014 (demo license)

On the server I use:

VisualSVN Server Manager Version 2.5.2

Exact wording of error in Tortoise:

Error: Unexpected HTTP status 405 'Method Not Allowed' on '/'

There are no recent entries in the VisualSVN error log.

The Windows machine runs Microsoft Security Essentials.
I do not know how to turn this off; it has a lot of options but
no general "turn off" feature.

Regards
