Oddly the VMS docs were mimicing the unix docs: README is not podified and
perl.pod is e.g.. I see your point though. However, my tuit supply is such
that tweaking the configure + build process is more of a priority and I am
not sure when I'll be able to get to that even (5.5650 would not build
out of the box on VMS and I've not had a chance to look at 5.5.660 yet).
